Beauty that enchants
at first sight

Bordighera Lifestyle

“Everything is wonderful, and every day the countryside grows more beautiful, and I am enchanted by the village. Here, all is beauty, and the weather is superb.”

— Claude Monet - 1884

Thus wrote the great painter who stayed in the Ligurian town from January 18 to April 3, 1884. So inspired was he by its beauty that, in less than three months, he painted 38 canvases, including “The Bridge and the Castle.” In his honor, a park along the Beodo Trail has been named after him: the Monet Gardens.
